  More than 45 % of falls by senior citizens are connected with RUGS. The living room of this unit has a very unstable blue & white shag rug. I tripped on the edges, yes edges, plural, 4 times even though I knew they were there & was watching. Our friend Susan, who was in an upstairs unit, tripped twice on this rug when she visited us. Fortunately, we didn't fall, but I believe this rug is an accident waiting to happen. The owner should be made aware of this. A significant portion of all fall-related injuries treated in U.S. emergency departments for adults 65 and older, finds that rugs account for 45.8% and carpets 54.2% of falls.
  High frequency: Around 37,991 fall injuries involving rugs or carpets are treated annually in U.S. emergency departments for people over 65.
  Common scenarios: A significant number of these falls occur at home, often in the bathroom, and are associated with wet rugs, hurrying, or tripping at the edge of a rug.

  While Inlve the property the unit needs improvement. We like to eat in and the kitchen lacks adequate pots and serving dishes. We needed to heat something in the oven and the cookie sheet was super rusted should have been thrown away....boankets in secondary closet looked like thetbsurvivednthe hurricane...would not stay in this unit again.

  The air conditioner went out twice. The staff was professional and came as soon as they could.one of the bathroom ceilings was leaking off and on during the stay. The staff did come trying to figure it out.
